M E N O P A U S E

If you’re not there yet, you’ll still want to know this.

Menopause can start at the age of 45 and is diagnosed after a woman hasn’t had her period for a year.

Menopause happens because the woman’s ovaries stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone.

This hormone shift can cause the pelvic floor muscles to weaken.

When the pelvic floor muscles are weak, bladder leakage can happen, as well as pelvic organ prolapse.

The good news is that these muscles can be strengthened and rehabilitated to prevent leakage and prolapse! NO SURGERY needed in most cases.
