You need to take better care of yourself, friend
At {ther • happy} we want you to feel your best. Why? Because we f*cking love you, and we know how hard life can be sometimes.
The recent past has been challenging, to say the very least. So, what are you doing to take care of yourself? You’ve heard it before, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t be your best for those you love. And it’s true.
The good news is that Psychologists and Sociologists have identified eight dimensions to holistic wellness that everyone can benefit from. We thought we would take a minute to share them with you, and in upcoming weeks we will discuss them in a little more detail:
The Eight Dimensions of Wellness:
Emotional – Understanding and coping with your thoughts, feelings, and stress
Environmental – Surroundings that support health, safety, and harmony
Financial – Improving your relationship with money, utilizing resources, setting financial goals
Intellectual – Exploring and expanding your mental capacity by learning new things and developing your creativity
Occupational – Engaging in fulfilling work that aligns with your interests and values, balancing work time and personal time
Physical – Taking care of your body with healthy food, exercise, and rest
Social – Developing and expanding personal relationships with family, friends, and community
Spiritual – Appreciating life and discovering purpose and meaning in the world around you
When we humans are out of sync with any of these areas, we can feel stressed, anxious, short-tempered, and chaotic. Spending a little time with yourself to examine these dimensions can be a great start in creating long-term health and happiness. And we want that for you. Because we f*cking love you.
(And in the meantime, our mists can help you Rise Up, Calm Down, and Go To Sleep.)
Let that sh*t go,
Natalie
